Ca Lung

Initial evaluation should include history, physical examination, formal assessment of performance status, current weight and weight loss, blood count, serum biochemistry and CXR (PA, lateral).

Bronchoscopy, CT thorax and upper abdomen with contrast should be performed for those with potentially curable disease.

Other organ imaging (bone, brain, liver) is cost-effective only if metastases are suspected from other findings.

- 50% spread beyond thorax
- 10-15% locally advanced unresectable
